Sun Raj Curry House

Sun Raj is not the best banana leaf place in PJ, but boy do they have some good fried chicken. Even if you don't feel like rice, I suggest you order the chicken alone. The chicken are fried on order by a man at the fry station and it's always piping hot when it arrives at the table. The meat is marinated in spices, battered and fried till crispy on the outside but still moist and juicy on the inside.

At tea time, they have lots of Indian kuih and sweets, which is nice for a change from the usual cafés. You can try pakoras and uthapam, all great with a cup of tea. I find that service here is hit-and-miss, but generally, it's a smoothly run restaurant despite the crowds during peak hours.
