Hi! I was looking for some cafe's that I can study in for more than an hour.
I really like Spero Spera but when I'm in there too long I feel bad...... & I'm going to check out Glaziers on Wednesday. But I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations? :) Preferably in town, or close to UH
    Thank you!

Tea Farm is a great place and its by UH. I find them to be quiet and cozy enough to be a very worthwhile study place.

Cheap- Safeway Kapahulu there's a starbucks inside
    Nice- Kissaten
    Aside from coffee-Teafarm and
New- Smokies off university while its more of a "tobacco" pharaphanelia place, the furniture looks brand new and it seems quite and not so crowded
Convenient- My new go to spot. New Coffee Bean and tealeaf just opened up right across the street from donquijote on kaheka. There's a teddys and papajohns literally right around the corner so you can feast while studying.

I like coffee bean in diamond head. Also, there's a Starbucks in manoa that's pretty chill for studying.

  1. Safeway Kapahulu has a good size area of table and chairs, it's open 24 hours so it's super convenient.  The Starbucks inside isn't open very late but if you need food and drink, you can get whatever at the supermarket.  Sometimes there are homeless people that hang around so it can get smelly... Happened me to twice before.  Otherwise it's a decent place to study bcs the noise level is very low compared to any regular Starbucks.  There's free wifi but I've found that the closer you are to Starbucks, the better the reception, stay away from the elevator.

If you go to UH Manoa, Sinclair is open almost 24 hours - limited hours on Fridays and Saturdays.  The beauty about Sinclair is that you can bring food!  So I usually bring a jacket, a whole bag full of food, drinks and snacks and I head over to the 3rd floor and camp out there for half a day.  3rd floor bcs it has AC and the jacket helps me stay longer or else it gets too cold after you've cooled down.

I didn't like Kissaten bcs they have all these restrictions on how long you can stay and the limit on wifi usage.  The food was also a little overpriced.

Fresh cafe is also another nice alternative but only for daytime studying.

Nina be careful at the safeways thou there a lot I creepers esp I u plan on study late nights, I go to the town Safeway the new one and it's pretty good there, but as night falls the creeps. Come out, err homeless, crackheads, lol

    But when in doubt SINCLAIR!!
Kissaten is to pricy sometimes no seats, and u need to buy something for wifi,

Starbucks ward closes at 12 daily and 1 on Fridays and sat only thing is getting a seat, it's like finding parking on campus, but wifi is everywhere there. Free, fast and reliable,

    Good luck on ur studies

Fresh Cafe_ funky hip atmosphere, good eats, great drinks, free wifi, open late. And there's usual other studiers so it's relatively quiet
